Goals of the Psychomotor Group
Our psychomotor group support service pursues several goals, including:
Promoting self-activity and expanding self-efficacy
improving action competences and communication skills
strengthening self-awareness
Give the child the opportunity to discover their own strengths and experience self-efficacy and competence
Reopening access to movement by promoting perception and body experiences
Learn alternatives for challenging behaviors and integrate them into your own behavior
How do children get access to this help?
The need for participation in the psychomotor group is determined by a diagnostic examination at the early detection center. Parents can then contact K+X to find out about the availability of places and, if necessary, to be placed on a waiting list. If there is free capacity, parents can apply to the youth welfare office (in the Hameln Pyrmont district, the “Office for Youth and Inclusion”) to cover the costs of the psychomotor group.
